Nigerian and British primary curriculum coverage

Alpha Brain teaches Maths, English and Science to children from Nursery 1 to Primary 6 in Nigeria, which is Nursery to Year 6 in the United Kingdom.

The same 104 dojos and 1,060 short narrated levels serve both frameworks: every level is tagged to a NERDC strand and to the British year group and key stage it matches.

The table below maps each class to its British equivalent and links to what is taught in each subject at that level.

Questions parents ask about the two curricula

How do Nigerian classes map to British year groups?
Nursery 1 matches UK Nursery and Nursery 2 matches Reception, both in the Early Years Foundation Stage. Primary 1 and 2 match Year 1 and Year 2 (Key Stage 1), and Primary 3 to Primary 6 match Year 3 to Year 6 (Key Stage 2).
Which classes and subjects does Alpha Brain cover?
Maths, English and Science for every class from Nursery 1 to Primary 6 — 104 dojos and 1,060 narrated levels in total, each level tagged to the class it is written for.
Is Alpha Brain built for the Nigerian or the British curriculum?
Both, from the same levels. Every dojo is tagged to a NERDC strand and to the matching British key stage, and a few dojos differ by region — Nigerian learners get Naira Dojo and money in ₦, British learners get Pounds Dojo and money in £.
Do children have to be able to read to use Alpha Brain?
No. Questions are read aloud in recorded narration and answers are tapped or dragged rather than written, which is what makes the Nursery and Primary 1 levels playable.
