What a level is like

Every level is 10 questions long and takes a few minutes. Questions are read aloud in recorded narration rather than robotic text-to-speech, and answers are tapped, dragged or typed on a number pad rather than written, so a child who is still learning to read can play unaided.

Most dojos open with a short lesson before the questions start. Get one wrong and the level teaches the step you missed before showing the answer, and you can play the level again — the questions vary on each replay, so it is practice rather than memorising a fixed sheet. Levels are scored out of three stars.

Primary 1 Science questions parents ask

What does Alpha Brain cover in Primary 1 Science?
Alpha Brain teaches Primary 1 (Year 1) science through 9 dojos and 28 short narrated levels, for children aged 5–6. The topics are Living Things, Plant Power, Animal Kingdom, My Body and 5 more, grouped under Living Things, Materials & Their Properties, Forces & Energy, Earth & Space and Our Environment.
What is Primary 1 in the British system?
Primary 1 in Nigeria matches Year 1 in the UK, which sits in Key Stage 1, for children aged 5–6. Alpha Brain teaches both from the same science levels, so a family moving between the two systems keeps its progress.
Is the Primary 1 Science content aligned to the NERDC curriculum?
Yes. Every science dojo is tagged to a NERDC strand — at Primary 1 that is Living Things, Materials & Their Properties, Forces & Energy, Earth & Space and Our Environment — and the same levels are matched to the British Key Stage 1 programme of study.
How many Science levels are there for Primary 1?
28 levels across 9 dojos at Primary 1 / Year 1, at 10 questions a level — about 280 questions. A level takes a few minutes, so it fits a school night.
Can a child who cannot read yet use the Primary 1 Science levels?
Yes. Questions are read aloud in recorded narration, and answers are tapped or dragged rather than written, so a 5–6 year old can play Primary 1 science without reading the screen.
How much does Alpha Brain cost?
Alpha Brain costs ₦15,000 per year for a child, and a 3-day free trial unlocks when you invite three friends. That covers all three subjects — Maths, English and Science — from Nursery 1 to Primary 6, not just Science.
